PrtPrx-M1kC is the 'Printable High Frequency Proximity Card – Mifare® 1K Compatible' card and is of ISO14443 Type A specification. This device has 1K x 8bits EEPROM capacity.
PrtPrx-M1kC also has very high security performance characteristics and features encryption of communication channel and is a true multi-application smart card credential. This credential can be used to meet the requirements of a payment card which can be used for ticketing systems in public transport and comparable applications.
The contactless smart card contains three components: Mifare® compatible chip, antenna coil and the card base material of PVC (or PET). No battery for data retention is needed.
When the chip is positioned in proximity of a corresponding card reader, the high speed RF communication interface allows transmitting data with 106-Kbit/s in a secured encrypted path. The maximum communication range between the reader antenna and contactless card is approximately 4 in (10 cm).
